The African Cancer Institute welcomes Dr Yoshan Moodley to the team
Dr. Yoshan Moodley is an epidemiologist and public health researcher who joined the African Cancer Institute as a senior lecturer on the MPhil Cancer Science programme in September 2021. He holds a master’s in public health (University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom) and a PhD in Clinical Medicine (University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa). He has several years’ experience in postgraduate teaching and supervision, having previously been appointed as a senior lecturer at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and an associate professor (research) at the Wits School of Clinical Medicine. Yoshan has a keen interest in applying technological approaches, such as machine learning and spatial analysis, to address some of the setting-specific challenges associated with retaining patients in oncology care.
